Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1.

On Wednesday, July 29th, Miracle will celebrate seventy-three years of ministry in the city of Los Angeles. The song writer penned these words, “To God be the glory for the things He has done”. Miracle stands as a beacon light and a pillar in this community. Miracle was organized by thirty-nine members on Wednesday evening, July 29, 1953. The building consists of approx. 12,000 square feet of space. This includes a main sanctuary, twenty-five classrooms, full kitchen, banquet room, pastor’s study and church office.

Miracle was purchased December of 1954 from the Los Angeles Baptist City Mission Society. The property was valued at $125,000.00. The officers offered the Mission Society $75,000.00 and in turn the Society reduced the price to $38,000.00. It’s a Miracle of how God’s hand was on this place and this is how she got her name. Over the years, hundreds of souls have been won to Christ through teaching and preaching of the gospel. In 1956, Miracle purchased seven lots adjoining the church. What a tremendous testament to God blessing His church.

Church, let us continue to offer up high praise and thanksgiving to our God. By His grace miracles are still happening every day. Today, we have paid off all mortgages on all properties and turned debt into income.

Happy 73rd Anniversary Miracle!
