But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. A-men’. II Peter 3:18.
The Apostle Peter instructs every believer to not just grow, but keep growing in God’s grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This process requires regular and consistent study and application of the word of God. This comes through attendance in Bible Study, Prayer Meeting, Sunday School and Worship Service.
Church, this year, let us be intentional in our study of God’s word and become more involved in the ministry of Winning Souls for Christ. By doing this will help us to become effective witnesses all for God’s glory.
Tomorrow is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day! A federal holiday held on the third Monday of January each year. It celebrates the life and achievements of an influential civil rights leader.
Church, let, us pause and reflect upon how God used Dr. King’s life to enhance the lives of other and appreciate all that he sacrificed and stood for, the equality for all people.
Church, keep my family in your prayers. My uncle, Willie Hollins, was laid to rest last Saturday. My first cousin, Lee Dykes, was laid to rest yesterday afternoon.
Keep in prayer Sis Earnestine Berry and family. Sis. Berry’s son, Andrew Berry, Jr., was laid to rest this past Thursday morning.
Pray for Sis. Annie Price and family. Sis. Price’s brother, Robert Price, was called home to glory. His Homegoing Service will be tomorrow in Oakland, California.
