Of all the four gospels, Luke provides the most comprehensive picture of Jesus ministry. His primary focus was on Jesus as the Son of Man, the promised Messiah. Luke records that Jesus was filled with wisdom and God’s favor was on Him in a way that was recognizable even at a young age. This was evident when Jesus earthly parents found Him in the temple deeply engaged in theological discussions with well-respected rabbis; listening to them and asking questions. All who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers.
Jesus, when questioned by His parents concerning His whereabouts, Jesus responded to them and said how is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? Although Joseph and Mary didn’t understand Jesus words to them, Mary kept all these saying in her heart.
Church, just as Jesus emphatically stated His mission, to do His father’s business. As believers in Christ, let us be about our Father’s business also. Don’t place limitations on how God can use us. Recognize that God works through and in children, to accomplish His will. Are you available to be used by God, or have you put parameters that limits Him from using you?
