Scripture text: Jeremiah 22:1-10
The prophet Jeremiah reminds the house of Judah to repent of their injustices of His people. God indicted Judah for not practicing nor executing righteous justice among the people. So God promised Judah that if they refuse to hear His words, and continue to practice injustice to those who were less fortunate and underprivileged, that He would not only judge them, but He would see to it that their houses would become a desolation.
Reminder: God’s love is so immense that He always allows an opportunity to repent of our sins and turn back to Him for forgiveness. If we refuse to obey God’s command to repent of our sin of injustice, He promises to destroy those things that we consider important.
Church, let us find ways to practice justice to people so we won’t be punish for our injustices to people.
